Who we are

Seven Clean Seas builds Ocean Impact Projects and empowers communities to turn the tide on plastic pollution. We work with businesses and individuals to co-create sustainability initiatives following the Measure, Reduce, Offset and Engage methodology. A large part of what we do is engaging with businesses to engage employees in the plastic pollution issue.

We are seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Sustainability and Business Development Analyst. This candidate will sit within our Consultancy team and work closely with the Business Development team. In this hybrid role, you will act as a vital bridge between the two departments to generate bespoke solutions for prospective clients, creating proposals and pitching business opportunities. This position requires excellent listening and communication skills, an act for problem-solving, and a deep understanding of corporate sustainability principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Create compelling and tailored proposals for clients, showcasing innovative sustainability strategies that align with their specific needs and challenges.
• Assist in creating marketing and sales materials, including tool kits, case studies, guides, and blogs to increase inbound business development opportunities
• Assist in project management and implementation by liaising between different departments and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
• Pipeline management, including relationship building, presenting business opportunities to decision-makers and managing follow-ups all the way from outreach to closed business.
• Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, best practices, and emerging sustainability policies and regulations to incorporate these insights into proposals and consulting services.
• Facilitate ideation workshops and meetings with clients to understand their sustainability goals and challenges and translate these into tangible solutions.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Business Development role or handling similar sales responsibilities.
• 3 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with a focus on plastic and waste reduction strategies and circularity.
• Passion for sustainability and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and local waste management practices and legislations.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex sustainability concepts to various audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to create actionable plans for clients based on their needs and pain points.
• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or related field.
