Job Description

Nol Karbon Indonesia (http://nolkarbon.com/) is a company that focuses on carbon management by implementing carbon credits, carbon offsets, and GHG accounting.


We are hiring a full-time Renewable Energy Associate to implement Nol Karbon’s carbon credit projects in renewable energy. The ideal candidate for this role is a high-performing and passionate young talent who is excited to chart a new path in an emerging industry.



Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits and assessments to verify project eligibility, evaluate carbon credit data, and oversee project implementation.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including monitoring plans, verification reports, project proposals, and end-to-end carbon credit and monitoring reports.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and budget adherence. This includes initiating projects, preparing Project Design Documents (PDD), and overseeing the verification process.
  • Analyze energy production data and calculate carbon emissions reductions to quantify the carbon credit potential and develop carbon credit methodologies that comply with certification standards.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and financial analyses for potential carbon credit projects in the renewable energy sector.
  • Establish effective communication with external stakeholders, such as project partners, government agencies, and auditors. Ensure project compliance and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and networking skills by representing Nol Karbon in various forums, conferences, and events. Present on behalf of the organization to showcase expertise and establish strategic partnerships.


Secondary Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide younger Associates and/or Project Support staff, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Represent Nol Karbon in external meetings, conferences, and industry events, showcasing thought leadership and networking with potential clients, partners, and investors.
  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders to support project goals
  • Stay updated on relevant policies, regulations, and market trends related to carbon credits and renewable energy, and provide strategic insights to inform decision-making processes.


Requirements:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in calculating carbon emissions
  • Problem solver with strong cognitive abilities
  • High sense of ownership and intrinsic motivation
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills to work in a team
  • Minimum 1 year of fieldwork experience in the renewable energy sector. Emphasis on carbon-related activities.
  • Willing to work from the office in the South Jakarta area
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in energy or other relevant majors
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 1 year of international exposure (studying overseas or working in a global team)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in renewable energy
