Job Description
One of our clients is looking for a Proposal Engineer. As a proposal engineer, you will be at the forefront of our proposal-making process, engaging with clients to understand their water system needs, and working collaboratively with various divisions. This role emphasizes budgeting for both local and imported water systems, making it both challenging and rewarding. You will occasionally travel (hybrid work: 70% office, 30% site visit) to client sites and actively participate in project management. This role is open to anyone with a background related to the water, mechanical or electrical engineering industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Budgeting:
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create accurate quotations.
  • Coordination:
  • Assist in client engagement and occasionally visit client sites to ensure alignment on project specifications.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between various divisions, including Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Water Lab, and more.
  • Analyze cost factors and ensure alignment with client requirements and company goals.
  • Work closely with procurement and technical teams to budget both local and imported water systems.
  • Ensure proposals comply with all applicable legal and industry standards.
  • Proposal Creation:
  • Develop and present tailored proposals to clients.


Requirements:


  • 2-3 years of experience in proposal and quotation making, budgeting, and coordination, preferably within the water treatment or water management or related to mechanical / electrical engineering industry / consultant.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Bahasa Indonesia & English written and oral skills).
  • Strong understanding of budgeting principles, especially related to local and imported water systems.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with budgeting tools and software.
  • CAD
