Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, innovative Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will work on a diverse range of hydrogen and biomethane projects, playing a crucial role in optimizing production and utilization processes for our clients. This role will require a commitment to operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

As the Process Engineer, you will focus on the full project lifecycle, from initial conception and design, through to final implementation and review. This entails applying your expertise in chemical and process engineering to enhance system functionality, improve safety measures, and elevate production efficiencies in the realm of hydrogen and biomethane technology.

You'll work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside experts in various fields, including scientists, engineers, and environmental consultants. Given the importance of sustainability and regulatory compliance in our industry, you'll also engage closely with our environmental team to ensure that all processes and procedures meet both regulatory standards and our own stringent environmental goals.

A substantial part of your role will involve direct consultation with clients. This includes understanding their specific needs, constraints, and targets; then developing tailored, high-performance solutions that align with these parameters. To ensure the successful adoption and application of these solutions, you will also be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to client personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and optimize energy production and distribution processes.

• Develop and maintain operational specifications for production equipment and systems.

• Apply engineering principles to identify, analyse, and solve process-related problems.

• Perform process simulations and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with the environmental team to ensure sustainability standards are met across all processes.

• Train production personnel on process operations, safety regulations, and the proper use of equipment.

• Regularly review and analyse operational data to ensure process efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Implement and manage the process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Participate in project management activities, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certification will be an advantage.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, preferably in the energy sector.

• Strong knowledge of process simulations, risk assessment, and process optimization.

• Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations in the energy sector.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Exceptional English language skills, with the ability to articulate intricate procedures in a lucid and succinct manner.

• Proficiency in the use of process engineering software, such as Aspen HYSYS or CHEMCAD is preferred.
