Job Location: Hanoi, Vietnam.

We are looking for someone, who is willing to relocate to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Work Mode: Onsite.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Manufacturing Lead on New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure manufacturability and design/implement any new or modifications to production equipment or work cells.
  • Evaluate jobs, workstations, cells for appropriate ergonomic and safety issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and work with design engineering to solve daily production issues on Customer orders being assembled.
  • Analyse assembly operations for improved product flow, develops better packing methods, writes standard operating procedures, and ensures correct equipment for capability and efficiency of each assembly area.
  • Lead and assist in Kaizen lean continuous improvement events, action plans, project plans, etc.
  • Develops solutions to improve financial performance and increase productivity.
  • Trains production personnel as needed on process changes and improvements.
  • Support the strategic objectives of the business through special projects.
  • Implements new processes and techniques to improve line density and develops better flow of parts being used in assembly.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure appropriate capital equipment and technologies are utilized.
  • Drive problem-solving for production related problems.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Train production personnel as needed on process changes and improvements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a factory setting directly supporting manufacturing.
  • Broad working knowledge Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques in an assembly operation.
  • Should have a proven track record of experience in data analysis and problem solving to include the use of run charts, Pareto analysis, PFMEA, 5 Whys, 8D, and other problem-solving techniques.
  • Associate degree with 5 + years of experience.


Other Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have prior working experience with formal quality management systems. Applicants must be well versed in Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD / SolidWorks and previous powder coating experience / exposure is desirable.
  • Applicants should be able to demonstrate hands on experience of utilizing data and proven problem-solving techniques to implement and sustain solutions that realize tangible improvements in safety, quality, and costs.
  • Applicants should be results oriented, demonstrate strong initiative and be able work both independently and within team environments to serve as a change agent and promote a continuous improvement culture.
