Post Production Sound Engineer

We are Naga Film, a Bali/Jakarta based independent video post production company with a focus on creating content with a big heart. We work with Netflix, where we primarily create social content across their YouTube channels, as well as TikTok and Instagram in the form of GIFs, Stories, memes and more. We also work on American television series providing full service post production sound design and mixing.

We are seeking a Senior Sound Engineer to join our dynamic creative team. An understanding of U.S. cinema and TV is a must. We are looking for a confident fast-paced editor that can work directly with our team members to tell stories through sound to keep viewers engaged. Collaborative working is a must, with a need to communicate with our in-house team and take direction and work together with clients and creative partners abroad. A high level knowledge of Avid Pro Tools is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and mix dialog, music, and sound effects for social platforms and broadcast programs

• Work with in-house and client Assistant Editors to facilitate files from video editorial to sound design/mixing

• Direct and engineer ADR sessions with actors and producers/directors

• Use latest technologies available to create seamless high quality dialog tracks

• Add effective sound design to heighten the production quality of projects

• Mix and master for multiple social platforms, broadcast, festival, and theatrical outlets.

• Stay up to date and meticulously QC the required audio deliverables and stems for each platform

• Upload work to client servers and communicate with coordinators

• Take creative direction and implement notes from clients and creative partners

• Stay up-to-date with the latest editing trends and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Film or 5+ years related experience (willing to waive this for an amazing portfolio)

• Fluency in English language (you’ll be working with client executives abroad and need to be able to understand/execute storytelling concepts that are compelling and effective in English)

• Expertise with audio editing software such as Avid Pro Tools, Izotope RX and post production audio plugins

• Excellent understanding of the technical aspects of post-production audio

• Excellent creative, conceptual, and visualisation skills

• Ability to tell an effective story with compelling energy

• Working with clients to finalise mixes that work for the platforms intended and drive engagement and viewership

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and communication

• Solid understanding of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms

• Salary: Up to IDR 16.500.00 per month (Based on experience and quality of work after probation period assessment)
