Network Operations Engineer Jobs

Job description

In this role you will

·Be on a Opsgenie on-call rotation to respond to infrastructure incidents.

·Use your on-call shift to prevent incidents from ever happening.

·Make monitoring and alerting alert on symptoms and not on outages.

·Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions–and then into automation.

·Improve processes to make them as boring as possible.

·Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack.

·Plan the growth of Biznet Gio infrastructure.

You may be a fit to this role if you

·Know your way around hardware Cisco, Juniper, Switch Dell Switch Open Networking, Edgecore Switch and Melanox.

·Know your way around SDN Big Switch (BCF), Cumulus

·Have an urge to collaborate and communicate asynchronously (think chats, emails, tickets).

·Have an urge to document all the things so you don't need to learn the same thing twice.

·Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude. When you see something broken, you can't help but fix it.

·Have an urge for delivering quickly and iterating fast.

·Any cloud and scripting experience i.e. Linux, automation, ansibles, virtualization is a plus

Technical

·Deeper knowledge LAN, WAN, IP Subnetting.

·Deeper knowledge one of firewall (juniper router, vyos, switch L3), Routing (static and dynamic (RIP, OSPF. BGP)) and switching (vlan, trunk) networks and network monitoring (PRTG, Zabbix).

·General knowledge of Linux internals, SDN (Software Defined Network) Big Switch, Cumulus.
