About the Instrument Engineer (Oil and Gas On Shore) Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure the instrumentation, control and telecom plant design is in line with GOI regulation and applicable international standards and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select suppliers and vendors for instrumentation equipment
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for the instrumentation and control systems
• Prepare material and equipment requisitions for instrumentation and control components
• Integrate instrumentation with the Distributed Control System (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) for process control
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications
• Develop instrumentation and control system designs, specifications, and drawings in compliance with project and industry standards
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure integration of instrumentation systems
• Ensure that all instrumentation and control systems comply with safety regulations, industry codes, and project-specific requirements
• Supervise and provide technical guidance during the installation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation systems
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules for instrumentation equipment
• Develop and implement control strategies to optimize process performance
• Select appropriate instrumentation and control devices (e.g. sensors, transmitters, control valves) based on project requirements

To succeed in this Instrument Engineer (Oil and Gas On Shore) role, you must have the ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines and having deep experience in oil and gas project.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Physics Engineering
• At least 15 years' experience in Instrument Engineering in the oil and gas industry, including experience in managing a plant or production unit
• Experience in the use of computer programmes applicable to such designs
• Familiar with construction and operation of oil and gas instrument and control systems, including SCADA, PLC and DCS, FEED
• Must have a working knowledge of the codes and standards and must have been the principal engineer responsible for the design of similar control systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems and develop effective solutions
