Production Manager - Instrument

This position is responsible for instrument manufacturing overall management including setting up process, technical transfer, process validation and mass production to support NPI launch and product supply for market in timely manner.

Responsibilities:

1. General

• As a member of the site leadership team, provide advise on key and operations related issues, initiative and strategy for continually improving the site operations performance.
• Work closely with cross functions team to solve technical dan product supply issues.

2. Manufacturing Management

• Deliver technical support for sales and service team to solve product issue from customer’s site.
• Set up appropriate manufacturing process according to design output, and leads process and product validation.
• Participate in NPI design process and design review meeting as manufacturing representative to provide input related to product requirement and review product produciability.
• Responsible for technical transfer external parties, through cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for monitoring manufacturing process and continuously optimize it to deliver stable products.
• Build a lean culture within instrument manufacturing department to improve efficiency & productivity and reducing cost.
• Support on site audit for new product registration, together with Quality and RA team.
• Responsible for overall instrument manufacturing management from material requisitioning to finish goods stock in warehouse.

3. Leadership & People Management

• Manage performance and talent development for all direct functional reports, and qualify them in a timely manner.
• Create an environment of strong team spirit, motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals in the short, mid, and long term to support business growth.
• Drive collaboration of cross functions teams and business units within the organization.

4. Cost Management

• Control budget and departmental costs, headcount and CAPEX towards the set targets.
• Periodically evaluates workload and expense in the department, and continue to optimize cost control and department‘s productivity and competitiveness.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of regulation in the medical device industry.
• Willing to work in Cikarang.
• Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related.
• 7 years or more relevant manufacturing working experience in medical device related industry.
• Hands on the medical product’s processing and production is preferred.
• Experienced in quality system of ISO 13485, GMPs etc.
• Be familiar with lean production concepts, such as VSM, SW, CI etc.
• Good communication skill in English (spoken and written).
