What you’ll be doing day to day:

• Regular review of performance with commercial and supply partners as well as with customs brokers, identify and follow up on any necessary corrective actions to ensure agreed goods availability goals are achieved, together with the commercial team secure the preconditions in all sales channels for a smooth and timely range renewal process and timely sales start of new range and vitality packages.
• Determine appropriate import compliance measures and oversee their implementation in the country (i.e oversee the organization and retention of various import control and compliance, product classifications, licensing documents, correspondence with local authorities, etc).
• Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and living IKEA culture that values the diversity of customers and co-workers and inspires extraordinary achievements in the department.
• Developing and securing fulfilment of products and service, by generate a well-designed import process (i.e synchronize supply and commercial needs with import requirement and regulations), resulting in the highest possible customer perceived availability at the lowest possible total cost.
• Actively research new rules and regulations in Indonesia and consult port authorities, and customs agencies to ensure that the company is in compliance with freight and shipping guidelines and company policies, provide leadership in the implementation of new customs privileges and or import regulations/restrictions.
• Build and maintain excellent and effective relationship both internal and external parties, includes ensuring that all relevant entries are timely declared supported by required documentation and that all imported goods are properly declared.

We want you to be a person who:

• Min. 5 years working experience in import and 2 years in management role.
• Preferably hold PPJK certificate, and any other Import licenses.
• Strong leadership, market intelligence, great stakeholder management and high influencing skills.
• Confident and fluent communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Demonstrated high analytical thinking, data driven and good business understanding.
• Excellent knowledge of import regulations & operations in Indonesia and their impact on retailing, understand Free Trade Agreements and how to implement them into the daily business.
