Fica @Tanah Air Summer Volunteer

Job Title: FICA @ Tanah Air Summer Volunteer 2023
Job Objective: We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with teaching elementary school students at Rusun Bandengan. This opportunity will also provide context and understanding of the current situation in Indonesia to prepare FICA friends who are returning back to Tanah Air. The ideal candidate will be proactive, and passionate about FICA’s mission. Volunteers will be equipped with introductory, reflection, and evaluation sessions
Duration:
Introduction & briefing: third/fourth week of June 2023 (exact date TBA)
Volunteer period: July 4, 2023 – August 26, 2023
Responsibilities:
1. Attend introductory and evaluation sessions (once a month)
2. Attend volunteering sessions at Rusun Bandengan at least once (1x) a week on:
Tuesdays (07:00-09:00 WIB), or/and
Saturdays (10:30-12:00 WIB).
3. Teach English & Mathematics (elementary school level), including values of truth and good character
4. Build personal relationships with students and other volunteers
5. Present volunteering experiences during OMC 2023
Requirements:
1. Excited about FICA’s mission and situation in Indonesia
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Proactive and able to work independently and in teams
4. Available to volunteer during the Summer of 2023, at least 4 times each month
