The E-Commerce, Reservations and Distribution Leader is responsible for managing the reservations process and guest service delivery and developing and implementing distribution strategies to ensure excellent guest service and financial profitability. This position is based in Ubud, Bali.


The E-Commerce, Reservations and Distribution Leader will lead the reservations operations and is responsible for creating and executing distribution strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy. This involves identifying and leveraging new distribution channels, managing existing partnerships, and monitoring market trends.

1. Managing room reservations: Handling all aspects of room reservations, including receiving and responding to booking inquiries, managing reservations systems, coordinating with the front office to ensure accurate room allocation, and overseeing the booking process from start to finish.


2. Developing pricing strategies: Collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue and occupancy rates. This involves analyzing market trends, competitor rates, and historical data to determine the most competitive and profitable pricing strategies.


3. Channel distribution management: Maintaining relationships with various distribution partners such as online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators, and other third-party reservation channels. Optimizing distribution channels to maximize visibility and reach, ensuring the resort has a strong presence across various online platforms, including driving direct bookings through the resort's brand website.


4. Monitoring and analysis: Regularly monitoring room availability, booking patterns, and guest preferences to make informed decisions regarding rates, inventory allocation, and distribution channels and analyzing data and reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


5. Marketing and promotion: Collaborating with the resort marketing specialists to develop and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives to drive reservations and maximize occupancy. This includes managing the resort's presence on social media platforms, overseeing the creation and distribution of marketing materials, and analyzing the effectiveness of different marketing channels.


Experience

  • Analytical and strategic mindset: The ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions based on insights is important for optimizing distribution performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are valuable in this role.
  • Communication and negotiation skills: Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English are required to build and maintain relationships with OTA partners, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with internal teams. The specialist should also be able to effectively present data-driven strategies and influence stakeholders.
  • Hospitality industry knowledge: A strong understanding of the boutique hotel industry, including distribution channels and market dynamics, is crucial. 3+ years of experience in the hospitality sector is often desired, with a preference for candidates who have worked in resort settings.
  • Distribution expertise: Knowledge of distribution technology, revenue management systems (RMS), online travel agencies (OTA), global distribution systems (GDS), and other tools used for channel management is essential. Proficiency in revenue management principles and yield management strategies is also beneficial.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: The retreat business is dynamic, and the distribution landscape constantly evolves. The specialist should be adaptable and open to new technologies, market changes, and trends in distribution. The ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously is also beneficial.
