Construction Project Engineer Jobs

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry and possess in-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management. This position is open to local candidates in Indonesia, as we prefer to hire individuals who are familiar with the local regulations, practices, and construction norms.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality assurance, and adherence to engineering specifications.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports to update the management team on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets for various projects.
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives to optimize project outcomes without compromising quality or safety.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and legal requirements throughout the construction process.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams, resolving technical issues and addressing construction-related challenges.
• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to identify potential issues, discrepancies, and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for construction activities.
• Conduct regular meetings with the project team to communicate project objectives, address concerns, and facilitate effective collaboration.
• Identify and implement innovative construction techniques, technologies, and best practices to improve project efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in construction software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or similar applications.
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Indonesia.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, preferably with a focus on commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management techniques.
• Valid professional engineering license or certification is highly desirable.

Note: This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance evaluation.
