Communication Officer Jobs

Position Overview: CarbonX is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communication Officer to join our team. The Communication Officer will play a vital role in supporting our communication strategy, visual design, managing our website and social media platforms, and ensuring frequent updates. Additionally, the Communication Officer will be responsible for leading the organization's events and engaging with the media. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both English and Bahasa Indonesia, copy-editing skill and a creative mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate media requests and inquiries, prepare press releases, and manage media outreach.
• Oversee the organization's social media platforms, including creating and scheduling engaging posts.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries and comments, and interact with followers.
• Help create content for various communication channels to effectively convey the organization's objectives and mission.
• Copy-editing all communication materials.
• Develop visually appealing and engaging materials, including brochures, presentations, and other communication materials.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on media mentions and trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
• Manage the organization's website and social media platform, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the organization's communication strategy.

Qualifications:

• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years experience in similar role.
• Familiarity with media relations and working with journalists.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for engagement.
• Familiarity with forestry, climate change, or sustainable development agenda is highly preferable
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity in popular programming for web development is preferred
• Proficient in visual design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and channels.
