Scope of Work :
A Communication Lead is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing an organization's communication strategies, both internal and external. Their primary goal is to ensure clear, effective, and consistent communication that aligns with the organization's goals, values, and brand image. This role often exists within marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or a similar department. The job description for a Communication Lead typically includes the following responsibilities:
- Measurement and Analysis: Tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of communication campaigns and strategies. Using data and feedback to continuously refine approaches and improve outcomes.
- Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and other influencers. Managing media inquiries, preparing press releases, and coordinating interviews to generate positive media coverage.
- Social Media Management: Overseeing the organisation's presence on social media platforms. Developing and executing social media campaigns that enhance brand visibility, engage followers, and drive desired actions.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring that all communication efforts maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity that reflects the organisation's values and objectives.
- Content Creation: Creating and curating various forms of content, such as articles, blog posts, social media updates, videos, and visual materials, that effectively convey the organisation's key messages and engage the target audience.
- Strategy Development: Developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that support the organisation's objectives. This involves identifying target audiences, determining key messages, and selecting appropriate communication channels.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, human resources, and executive leadership, to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels and align efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Budget Management: Managing the communication budget, allocating resources effectively to various initiatives, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Message Creation: Crafting and refining messages that resonate with various stakeholders, including employees, governments, partners, donors, and the general public. Ensuring that these messages are consistent and aligned with the organisation's brand and mission.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry influencers, and community members.
2) Soft Skills and Managerial Skills
- Good organization, Strong project and financial management experience and planning skills and Good project management skills
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving
- An understanding of and affinity with 1000 Days Fund vision, mission and values.
- Good people skills, Self-motivated, flexible and proactive and experience working cross-culturally
- Familiarity with fundraising and donor communication is desirable.
- Demonstrate commitment to team work with a high degree of integrity, dependability and confidentiality.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and strategies for effective storytelling.
- Experience in photography, videography, and graphic design is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with ability to influence, advise and train others, also self-motivated person able to work with little supervision
Requirements :
- At least 3 years of experience in Communication and/or Partnership activities for an NGO
- Preferred candidate must be a Indonesian citizen or have permanent residency
- Excellent written and spoken command of English and Indonesian
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
