Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator to join our team. As a Chinese Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating written and verbal content from Chinese to English and vice versa. Your expertise will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between our organization and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Translate a variety of written documents, including emails, reports, presentations, and marketing materials, from Chinese to English and English to Chinese
2. Ensure accuracy and consistency in the translation, maintaining the intended meaning and tone of the original content.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate translations, meeting project deadlines.
4. Proofread and edit translated content to ensure quality and coherence.
5. Adapt translations to different cultural contexts and target audiences.
6. Assist in communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, partners, and stakeholders when needed.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a professional translator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your translation skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy even under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to learn and adapt to industry-specific terminology and concepts.
• Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus.
• In-depth cultural understanding of Chinese-speaking regions and the ability to adapt translations accordingly.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
