About The Role


Brand Strategist Intern plays a pivotal role in supporting the team's efforts to manage brand, creative, and partnership projects. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of brand strategy, including campaign coordination, content creation, market research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams as well as Tokopedia’s strategic merchants. As our People Business Partner for the GoToFinancial team, you'll be a seasoned and strategic People and Culture (PAC) thought partner to a specific set of functions. Like a superhero, you'll trade between business imperatives and the needs of our GoTroops, contributing hands-on efforts at the strategic level in partnership with relevant client groups, mostly at the executive rank and above. Starting as an individual contributor, your role may evolve into leading a team of one or more People Business Partners down the road. You'll get ample opportunity to work on a variety of global projects, acting as a thought leader by sharing your knowledge, experience, and people-related best practices among the broader PAC team across the GoTo ecosystem.



What You Will Do
  • Provide leaders with advice and guidance around their organizational structure to optimize for business objectives in a highly matrixed and dynamic commercial environment
  • Work on Global projects as needed to gain insights for your own growth journey at Gojek
  • Provide PAC programmatic partnership on cyclical, COE-driven initiatives (e.g. engagement survey analysis, communication, and planning execution; mid-year and year-end pay and promo planning; talent management; performance reviews)
  • Partner with leaders on change initiatives, likely due to growth or the coming together of teams and functions
  • Take opportunities to share knowledge and best practice with other People Business Partners to help them learn and grow
  • Conduct 1x1s with team members - hold development discussions, provide meaningful redirection, and reinforce feedback in a psychologically safe and supportive manner
  • Understand your client groups’ key talent, their strengths, and development needs, and actively participate in talent management discussions with relevant leaders
  • Be an active contributor in People Business Partner team meetings, and challenge ideas and ‘the status quo’ while offering up solutions based on your experience working in similar fast-paced environments
  • Challenge existing people-related practices if you believe there are better ways of doing things and inspire others to do the same
  • Develop effective ongoing relationships with leaders, establishing yourself as a credible, trusted, respected, and valued thought partner and drive the people agenda within the leadership teams you partner with
  • Drive global projects through to completion, engaging with L7+ leaders where necessary to achieve relevant outcomes
  • Act as a trusted liaison for the organizations you partner with (within the manager and employee base for each client group)
  • Advocate for best practices in everything you do while simultaneously optimizing for speed and outcome
  • Where applicable, lead and coach a team of Business Partners by example and with compassion
What You Will Need


  • Experience leading teams of people in a People and Culture setting
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo; a self-starter attitude with the ability to embrace new opportunities and always sees things through to completion
  • Strong analytical thinking skills in order to analyze people’s data and trends
  • Ability to work at a quick pace whilst maintaining appropriate attention to detail and ethical standards
  • Experience delivering projects, like talent development and/or recognition programs, across regions and functions
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated People Business Partner experience (or equivalent) within online or technology-focused organizations
  • Strong ability to generate innovative HR solutions
  • Experience working within an entrepreneurial organizational/fast-growing culture is preferred
About The Team


The People Business Partner (PBP) reporting to the Head of People Business Partners based in Jakarta. Our goal is to ensure our Global teams are best positioned to deliver exceptional work, and are optimally structured to ensure Gojek meets or exceeds its ambitious set of business objectives.


Each PBP team member partners with at least one Executive-level leader on areas such as organization, design, effectiveness, workforce planning, change management planning & intervention, talent management, and delivery of COE/PBP co-created cyclical programs (e.g. pay and promotion cycle, engagement surveys, and talent reviews). This is a bona fide PBP role, with a need for strategic partnering & influencing at the highest levels of our 2,000+ employee organization. This is also an extremely exciting time for our team given our vast growth, our market positioning, and where we are on our PAC roadmap.
