• Provide technical recommendations and advice to the project department
• Maintain accurate and compliant document revisions on the server
• Coordinate with the welding and design teams within the technical department for tasks requiring their expertise or responsibility in responding to customer queries
• Assist the material engineer to prepare the Job Instruction Sheet (JIS) for production that aligns accurately with approved procedures
• Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis between customer or code requirements and Cladtek's capabilities or limitations
• Collaborate with the material engineer to create material purchase and technical data specifications for piping, valves, and pressure vessels based on applicable product specifications and customer needs
• Summarize and address customer comments related to manufacturing and inspection specification procedures
• Assist the material engineer in preparing manufacturing procedures (such as MPS, ITP, and MIS) according to client requirements and applicable standards
• Review bills of materials, project delivery lists, job instruction sheets, material requisitions, bending and heat treatment procedures, destructive test requests, and raw material Material Test Certificates (MTC) from suppliers or customer-provided materials when the material engineer is unavailable
• Prepare laboratory requests according to customer specifications and standards and/or participate in observing laboratory tests. Review the resulting reports in the absence of a material engineer
• Assist the material engineer to check manufacturing procedures (MPS or ITP) provided by suppliers to facilitate material production, and provide recommendations in case any issues arise
• Summarize comments based on handwritten markups, PDF markups, and email instructions into comment sheets if required for submission
• Assist the material engineer in generating incoming Material Test Certificates (MTC) from suppliers, whether for materials purchased by Cladtek or for free-issue materials to meet project specifications
