Material Officer / Expeditor Jobs

Job Purpose

• Sonic Bay project aims at developing an industrial complex in Indonesia to produce and intermediate Nickel and Cobalt concentrate from the Weda Bay ore deposit (Located in Halmahera Island). The project scope includes an ore preparation plant, an hydrometallurgical plant using High Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) technology to produce the concentrate, a power plant, a sulfuric acid plant and a tailings storage facility.
• The industrial complex will be located on the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP).

The Material Officer works to support on site activities of the SONIC BAY Project by monitoring local services as well as products acquisition.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the local Project is delievered within the timeline
• Manage minor claims with local suppliers
• Contribute to the management of the material on site
• Analyze and identify upstream as much as possible that needed from the Project
• Define with the Senior Procurement Manager Indonesia to satisfy internal customers.
• Analyze and identify local Project needs, and solving any problem arises
• Analyze the supplier and give evaluation
• Follow up orders including expediting

Requirements

• Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
• Min. 10 years of experience in Industrial Purchasing
• Bachelor's Degree from any major. Master's Degree is a plus
