Army Hq Management Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a core finance team that delivers an effective and efficient accounting and financial business support service to the Army Corporate HQ. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for functional and technical leadership of the team and for providing accounting and resource management advice to a broad customer base.
Key areas of responsibility include:-

• Run all delegated accounting processes throughout the year and supply to the monthly, and quarterly forecasts of expenditure accurately and on time.
• Conduct analysis and scrutiny of expenditure proposals to inform business decisions on affordability, performance against Control Totals and targets.
• Guide and direct the appropriate accounting actions and financial management processes at the delegated levels within the organisation.
• Provision of consolidated financial and budgetary information, support and advice to assist the budget holder/corporate finance officers in leading the business. This includes management of the monthly financial dashboard.
