Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.


Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance regularly and provide variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Month-end and Year-end Closing: Facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  5. Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Prepare and submit required financial reports to government agencies and auditors.
  6. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Provide management with meaningful financial reports and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  7. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support external auditors during financial audits.
  8. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraudulent activities.
  9. Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of employee wages, benefits, and deductions.
  10. Financial Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline financial processes and maintain accurate records.
  11. Financial Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with management to develop long-term financial plans and strategies to support the organization's growth and sustainability.
  12. Financial Consultation: Provide financial guidance and support to various departments within the organization, helping them understand financial implications and make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
  4. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  9. Strong ethics and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  10. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.
