About The Workshop And Rental Manager (Balikpapan) Role

Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Workshop and Rental Manager will play a key role in the workshop and rental department for mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of workshop technicians and rental personnel, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and following safety protocols
• Reporting: Prepare reports on workshop performance, equipment utilisation, rental revenues, and any other relevant metrics as required by management
• Equipment Rental: Coordinate the rental process for mining equipment, including equipment availability, pricing, contracts, and scheduling
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety within the workshop and during equipment rentals
• Workshop Management: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient equipment maintenance, repairs, and servicing
• Inventory Control: Maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement
• Customer Relations: Interact with customers, address their concerns, provide technical assistance, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the rental process

The successful candidate must possess eight years of experience and have wide knowledge about mining business in East Kalimantan.

Key Requirements

• Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques. Familiarity with various mining processes and equipment types is advantageous
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to equipment maintenance, rental operations, and customer service
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities to effectively lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure productivity
• Experience: Proven experience (at least eight years) in workshop management, preferably in the mining or heavy equipment industry. Experience in equipment rental operations is also valuable
• Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing circumstances and customer demands
• Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using computer software and systems for inventory management, reporting, and communication purposes
• Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe working environment
• Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mining engineering, or a related field is typically preferred. However, relevant work experience in the mining industry may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
