About the Workshop and Rental Manager (Mining Equipment, Balikpapan) Role:

Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the GM will play a key role in the service and rental department for mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of equipment, coordinating with the workshop technicians as needed
• Workshop Management: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop facility
• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels for workshop tools, equipment, and rental items
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor expenses, prepare budgets, and implement cost-control measures
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, rental agreements, and equipment maintenance history
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures within the workshop and rental operations
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and providing rental solutions
• Equipment Rental: Manage the rental process for equipment and machinery
• Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of workshop technicians and rental staff

The successful candidate must possess eight years of experience as a workshop or rental manager and have wide knowledge about mining business in East Kalimantan.

Key Requirements

• Experience: At least eight years of previous experience in workshop management, equipment rental, or a related field is typically preferred
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, maintenance, and inventory management
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage workshop operations, rental schedules, and customer requests
• Knowledge of mining equipment and its application, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems efficiently, making sound decisions
• Broad knowledge about mining in East Kalimantan, preferably local people
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Bahasa Indonesia) to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of workshop tools, equipment, and machinery is essential
• Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, industrial management, or business administration may be required
• Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using computer software and systems for inventory management, documentation, and communication
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
