Key responsibilities:

• Support management of Cities (Urban Planning, Urban Design) and Infrastructure Advisory team in terms of workflow, scheduling, and deliverables.
• Lead and manage projects as Team Leader of the projects related to the core expertise e.g. Urban Planning, Urban Design, Built Environment & Digital
• Manage stakeholders as required in the projects scope, able to present and discuss with the stakeholders representing the project team.
• Overall support to the Advisory sector in Indonesia, including consultancy services for Urban Planning, Urban Design, Built Environment & Digital (e.g. GIS)
• Review and ensure quality deliverables are submitted to the Client as contracted reflecting the international quality standard of Mott MacDonald.
• Support Business Development activities including meetings, events and other promotional activities
• As Project Manager, manage the projects financials and timesheet allocation using internal MM system, ensuring targeted financial performance.

Experienced Senior Urban Planners or Urban Designers graduated from the following degree disciplines may apply:

• Design Engineering
• Real Estate
• Urban Planning & Urban Design (Planologi)
• Architecture

Candidates With The Below Experience Is Preferred

• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Having Postgrad/Master’s degree from reputable university, preferably internationally reputable universities.
• International project experience and Indonesian project experience
• Familiarity with Indonesian planning and design regulations and codes

Required Software Skills

• BIM (Optional)
• 3D modelling and visualization
• Adobe Photoshop/inDesign (Optional)
• GIS (Optional)
• CAD
• Design tools (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper)

We are looking for experienced professionals with the following characteristics:

• Good visual communication skills using MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
• Proven track record on urban planning, urban design, urban infrastructure, including feasibility and business case projects.
• Ability to use your initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently
• Methodical and scientific approach to problem solving
• Experience in both master planning and public participatory approaches in urban planning and urban design
• Committed to accomplish project delivery within tight project timeline with limited supervision
• Good understanding on urban economics, general finance, infrastructure financing, transport planning, environmental and social issues and permitting
• Capable of self-learning / autodidact and conduct independent research on new project disciplines or business areas
• Demonstrate interest on critical issues such as climate change, GEDSI, and disaster resilience
• Flexibility, adaptability and great interest in multi-disciplinary advisory consultancy business
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members. A TOEFL / IELTS scoring (can be indicative) is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of design technologies, e.g. GIS & CAD
• Familiarity with urban / spatial planning and land use regulations in Indonesia, including KKPR & Site Plan submissions
• Proven track record of team leadership for the above projects, leading and managing the team in delivering quality deliverables

Job Profile

We have an exciting opportunity for mid-level professionals with at least 10 years’ experience to join our business, being placed in the Advisory team in our Indonesia office, as a Senior Urban Planner & Designer. You will join an established yet growing Advisory team and specifically Cities, Infrastructure Advisory & Digital Advisory team working on capital infrastructure projects in Indonesia, with potential involvement in regional and global projects.

We will provide you with the opportunity to work on some the most exciting projects across Indonesia and surrounding countries.
