Description:


Along with the Geology Managers and team members to assure that all geology pertaining operational issues are followed up thoroughly, communicated and mitigated with the clients. The follow up action continues until the issue is very much resolved. He or she continuously assists the managers on QA/QC of every critical geological model. To work together with managers in planning and executing the ‘no 2041’ exploration program.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Continuously update the geological model based on the new exploration drilling and mapping data to generate geological domains for further mineral or metal estimations.
  • Along with Geology Managers, continuously discuss with Metallurgy and Geotechnical teams to list the issues for further geological mitigations.
  • To work along with the team members and managers to generate and review the geological models pertaining to operational issues for mitigation and execution.
  • To assure that all communication to and from international external parties (consultants etc.) are well noted and communicated across Geology Departments for further action.
  • To list all existing operational issues pertaining to geology.
  • To train Geologists to map and record the high standard data for further 3D geological modeling.
  • To work together with the Exploration Manager, Mine Geology Manager and team to generate and execute the ‘no 2041’ exploration program.
  • Proactively come to clients to gain information on current obstacles faced by Mine for further geological actions.


Qualifications


  • High level communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
  • Knowledge of organizational theory and practice.
  • High School diploma or GED and ten (10) years’ experience in exploration, geology and mining industry – OR – Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences or closely related field and seven (7) years’ experience in exploration, geology and mining industry – OR – Master’s degree in Geosciences or closely related field and five (5) years’ experience in exploration, geology and mining industry.
  • Knowledge of sampling theory, resource estimation and mine reconciliation.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of geology geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology and metallurgy.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Strategic orientation.
  • Knowledge of exploration business process.
  • Other PTFI mandatory competencies.
