Job Description

Position: Functional System Support

:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Functional System Support Specialist to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver exceptional user support for our organization's software applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end support for assigned software applications/systems, ensuring uninterrupted user access and optimal functionality.

• Respond promptly to user inquiries, concerns, and issues via various communication channels, including email, phone, and in-person interactions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business units, to understand application/system requirements and provide effective solutions.

• Assist in the implementation and rollout of new software applications/systems, including user training, documentation, and user adoption strategies.

• Conduct thorough analysis of user-reported issues, troubleshoot problems, and determine appropriate resolutions or workarounds.

• Document support requests, interactions, and solutions in a clear and organized manner.

• Identify recurring issues and patterns, and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs to empower users to resolve common problems independently.

• Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts for software updates, patches, and enhancements.

• Collaborate with the development team to communicate and escalate complex issues, bugs, and enhancement requests.

• Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose optimization strategies.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to provide up-to-date support and recommendations.

• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance user experience and system efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

• Proven experience (X years) in functional system support, software application support, or a related role.

• Strong understanding of the organization's software applications/systems, their functionalities, and integration points.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

• Proficiency in documenting support interactions, solutions, and processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

• Customer-focused attitude with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional user support.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.

• Basic knowledge of SQL queries, scripting languages, or other technical tools is a plus.

• Experience with training end-users and creating user documentation is a plus.

• Professional certifications related to software support or business analysis is an advantage.
