In 2022, we’ve joined forces with Districon, a leading supply chain analytics and logistics consultancy with 45 years experience developing strategies and solving and issues for integrated logistics and supply chain management.

Our new joint team forms the Supply Chain & Logistics Centre of Excellence within RHDHV. We provide top-tier logistics & supply chain advisory as well as digital supply chain advanced analytics services on top of RHDHV’s traditional engineering and consultancy domain knowledge. Supply chain is our DNA, engineering and analytics our key focus and interest. We believe that applying the right technology enables our customers to improve their supply chain processes and planning. And, as a consequence, improve their business: better results, build resilience and be sustainable.

For our expanding business in Asia Pacific we are looking for a Consultant Supply Chain Modelling & Optimization, who wants to join our Jakarta based team.

What will you do

What is strategically the optimal supply network? What is tactically the optimal balance between demand, supply and capacity? What is the optimal order batching and picking sequence in a warehouse? What is the optimal production schedule in manufacturing environment? What is the optimal fleet utilization of an ocean, air, rail or road carrier? And any other supply chain optimization challenge.

As a Supply Chain Modelling & Optimization Consultant , you solve these challenges by modelling simulation &;; optimization applications for our customers, that enable them to make data driven, scenario base, decisions. You apply your operations research skills and work together with the team to collect and validate the data, to connect the application with the core systems, to design a user interface, to train and support users.

• You participate or lead the developments of the application, guide the project team and the customer’s team
• You participate in, or manage the implementation of the solution, the training and support, ensuring a smooth go-live and hyper care period
• You participate or lead regular sprint meetings, connecting the business challenges with the solution requirements

Next to the project work, you will also get responsibilities in business development. Think about setting up and giving demos, preparing material for conferences, and talking to potential clients. As we work project-based it is important for us to get new clients and keep on generating work.

We work a lot with the optimization platform AIMMS, simulation software WITNESS Horizon, and SQL, Python, and R.

This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role offers flexibility to work partly at home and partly in the office.

What you bring

The Candidate Profile:

A strong interest for complex puzzle in the supply chain domain. You have an affinity with programming and connecting data sets. You are critical, accurate and show courage, you like to create your own opportunities.

Furthermore, as Consultant Supply Chain Modelling and Optimization you are:

• A bit headstrong: you think further than necessary and also give unsolicited advice
• Analytically strong: capable of understanding and explaining complex processes
• Technology driven: you have an interest in collecting, optimizing, connecting and structuring data from multiple sources
• Good at mathematics: you can easily draw the right conclusions from a large amount of data
• Pragmatic: you apply a creative approach, and, not always the most complex mathematical solution will help our customer.

As a basis, you bring along:

• Willingness to travel, both for incidental trips to our offices in Singapore and The Netherlands, or to APAC clients
• Some work experience or interest in supply chain, logistics or ICT, gained during or after your studies
• We welcome both starters as consultants with 0-3 years of relevant working experience
• Experience with or interest in simulation software (Witness), mathematical optimization (AIMMS), SQL, Python or R
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A completed academic master’s degree in Operations Research, (Applied) Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or a related study
• Can work independently on projects, but is as well a powerful team player who wants to work on a wide variety of projects
• Fluent in English – excellent written and verbal communication skills
