Subtitle Editor Jobs

We’re looking to hire four employees, each specializing in one of the following languages: English and Hindi or Bengali or Indonesian or French. Join our team to contribute to top-tier subtitles with your native-level fluency and proficiency in these languages.As a Subtitle Editor, your primary responsibility will be translating subtitle files that adhere to the company’s guidelines and standards. You will be expected to deliver timely, quality-assured files, as well as conduct proofreading and performance evaluations of freelance contributors, providing feedback as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control (QC) on colleagues’ SRT files, generating reports for supervisory review.
• Revise translations and linguistic aspects of finalized SRT files to ensure alignment with platform guidelines and character references.
• Participate in daily meetings.
• Engage in team meetings focused on translation improvement and important discussions.
• Develop SRT files for TV shows, movies, and trailers in specified languages.
• Adapt completed Turkish TV show SRT files for the international version.
• Assess sample files from potential candidates, offering feedback and evaluations to supervisors.
• Manage review and response to QC-related emails.
• Divide daily episode files equitably based on daily workforce distribution.
• Assist fellow Subtitle Editors in interpreting or rephrasing challenging lines.
• Consolidate final files, particularly when making the last delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in subtitle editing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
• Profound familiarity with SRT files and subtitling software.
• Aptitude for meeting deadlines and thriving in high-pressure situations.
• Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Fluency in English and native- level fluency in one of the following languages: Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian, or French.
