Scrum Team - Summer Internship: Cross-Functional Team (Engineers / Data And Business Analyst / Scrum Master)

You have a unique opportunity to join Emeis Global, a non-profit innovation hub focused on driving positive impact, concentrating on solving our most demanding challenges linked with energy transition/sustainability, digital transformation, and leadership/cultural change.

You will work in a team of 5-7 and, iteratively, through design and development, deliver fully functioning new business models, new products, and manufacturing processes. You will be flexible and adaptive, effectively communicating across various stakeholder groups, from engineers to business users, while leading a project workstream. In this role, you can use agile methodologies to provide our customers with the right solutions quickly.

As a scrum team member, you will be a core team member with responsibilities ranging from developing a new business plan, driving new product/manufacturing process development, testing new solutions/options, and making decisions for shaping the next-generation products/manufacturing processes ensuring that we stay on the leading edge of technology. You will also be responsible for leading multiple development teams while delivering best-in-class new product solutions for a particular application.

Currently, as a startup, we are unable to offer paid internships. However, we seek dedicated volunteers passionate about making a meaningful impact. Our pilot project, which focuses on innovating the mobility/electric vehicle value chain using Scrum and design thinking approaches and accessing a network of exponentially growing companies in this field, presents an exciting opportunity. Furthermore, involvement in this project can facilitate job placements in fast-growing future sectors like mobility and sustainability.

REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS / SOFTWARE ENGINEERS

• Initial experience in developing new products and testing with customers and designing, planning, and implementing the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
• Demonstrated knowledge across monitoring and testing processes and products found in all phases of production, developing and implementing safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
• Interest in staying up to date with new and emerging manufacturing processes
• Ability to create and present cost analysis reports to upper management
• Undergraduate or master’s degree; or equivalent experience

REQUIREMENTS FOR DATA / BUSINESS ANALYSTS

• Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English
• Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
• Undergraduate degree or master’s degree or 1+ years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree
• Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
