This function will be reporting to the Quality Control Manager Perfumery who is based in Indonesia and will be based at Firmenich manufacturing plant in Cileungsi.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples via GC and GCMS according to established SOP's
• Subcontracting of testing where not currently qualified and track results availability for timely Quality disposition
• Conduct daily Fragrance sensory evaluation sessions per established SOP's
• Prepare additonal samples per established SOP's for 3rd party testing
• Adherence to the Global Quality Control LEAN workflow process for processing of all Quality Control samples
• Seek and obtain the necessary training and achieve full skills qualification within the roles mandate
• Files all retains at conclusion of sample testing cycle
• Follows all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner and completes all paperwork correctly.
• Provides Sensory Support in both preparation and evaluation of ingredients and finished products .
• Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's.
• Manage the receipt of samples as they are logged into Quality Control.
• Ensure instrument calibrations are within tolerances and recalibrate as needed
• Retrieval and use of valid Quality Control retains as references.
• Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's

We Value

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Previous Quality Control experience in an analytical lab or sensory lab; skills to include wet chemistry, specific Gravity, Refractive index, titrations, GC, GCMS, or Flavors and/or Fragrance sensory experience are preferable.
• Familiar with running reports and creating presentations are a plus
• Able to multitask and complete multiple requests on time
• Have a growth and continuous improvement mindset. Lean6Sigma white or yellow belt is a plus
• Prior LIMS and/or SAP experience is a plus
• Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and equivalent minimum 2 years of experience in food or flavor & fragrance industry
• Must be Thorough and attentive to details
• Familiar with root cause analysis and investigation is a plus
• Ability to work in multiple applications and program systems
• Intermediate English skill on writing, speaking and listening is a minimum
• Well Versed in Microsoft Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook, etc.)
• Ability to adapt well to a fast-paced environment
