We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to join our Purchasing team.As a Purchasing Executive, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement process, sourcing suppliers, and negotiating contracts to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.Your expertise in procurement strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations will be essential in optimizing our supply chain and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Coordinating with suppliers and forwarders in shipping and customs processes and procedures related to importation, on timely delivery of materials.
• Execute purchasing strategies.
• Issuing purchase orders for local and overseas purchases.
• Establish and maintain an independent supplier’s performance monitoring systems to ensure compliance with performance & quality standards & maintain close liaison with suppliers.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors/suppliers.
• Monitor cost reduction and increase for materials purchased.
• Partner with team and document control to ensure clear documentation.
• Responsible for all purchasing activities including sourcing, contract negotiation and expediting delivery schedule.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

• Can commence work immediately.
• Familiar with purchase variances and participate in cost reduction program.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.Able to converse in Mandarin would be a plus.
• An independent individual who works well under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication & analytical skill.
• Good knowledge of shipping practice such as import and export documentation, permit declaration and other relevant documents.
• An excellent business network and supplier contacts from shipping industry is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/Custom Administration/Industrial Engineering or other relevant courses
• Proactive, flexible, reliable, self-motivated & organized.
