Production Planner & Industrial Engineer

Preferred Competencies:

➢ Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required

➢ Good at math and statistics

➢ Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience

➢ Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards

➢ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

➢ Strong communication and presentation skills

➢ Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

➢ Documentation and organization skills

➢ Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD

Role & Responsibilities:

Production Planner

1. Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.

2. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

3. Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

4. Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations.

5. Schedule shift/Employee Overtime according to production needs.

6. Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.

7. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.

8. Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)

9. Prepare and submit status and performance reports.

10. Keep paperwork organized.

11. Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff.

12. To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set by the yard.

Industrial Engineer

1. Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.

2. Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

3. Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.

4. Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.

5. Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.

6. Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.

7. Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.

8. Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.

9. Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
