Production Manager (Ceramic) Jobs

A leading manufacturing company is recruiting for a Production Manager (Ceramic) to join their team. In this job, you will be responsible for leading all production-related functions.

About The Production Manager (Ceramic) Role

Reporting to the Production Director, you will lead all production activities, manage teams of production staff and collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and logistics, to meet production targets and customer requirements. As the Production Manager, you will be in charge in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining product quality standards, optimising productivity, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production targets, cost objectives, and quality standards
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvement projects and implement best practices
• Continuously evaluate production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality
• Monitor production parameters, conduct regular quality checks, and implement corrective measures to address any deviations or defects
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process optimization techniques to streamline operations and reduce waste
• Ensure the availability of resources, such as raw materials, equipment, and manpower, to support production activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement preventive measures

To succeed in this Production Manager (Ceramic) role, you must have the ability to articulate strategy to operational teams and take the lead in managing the manufacturing operations of a ceramic production facility.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English
• Strong knowledge of ceramic production processes, techniques, and equipment
• Familiarity with quality control methodologies and continuous improvement practices
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in using computer software and production management systems
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the ceramic industry or a similar manufacturing environment
