Purpose of the role

Identify, Analyse, and Implement process control & DCS improvement or development, process quality management and system quality management within the company’s vision, mission, strategy, budget, policy and regulation (i.e., EHS Management/ HIRA, LAMS, Continues Improvement, etc.), procedures, government laws and regulations to ensure production target achievement, plant reliability and meet with company standard quality.

Key Results/Accountabilities Expected From The Role

People Management

• Implement the agreed performance goal and control the achievement.
• Implement training as plan.

Safety and Compliance Management

• Demonstrate the personal responsibility for the safety by contribute on HSE program.
• Implement and ensure all assigned tasks have process to plan work, identify hazards, asses risk and put in place risk reduction measures to allow work tasks to be completed safely and without unplanned loss of containment causing environment damage.
• Implement and consistently followed PCC procedures and practices, monitor it is up to date and take corrective action when gaps are identified.
• Involve and support on risk management program: HAZOP&LOPA (expert level), SIL Validation, and Gap Assessment
• Implement & ensure PCC activities meet INEOS requirement.

Plant Integrity, Reliability and Availability

• Support training coordinator to ensure the operator training simulator system is working well to support plant operability.
• Maintain DCS, SIS, and Supporting system are well perform by monitoring, contributing and collaborating with other units on problem solving process & equipment to improve & enhance plant reliability.
• Manage license renewal for PSS-Hexagon, PI, OTS-Dynsim, AeShield, Yokogawa, Fortinet, McAfee
• Implement and maintain planned protection program on automation system from cyber-attack for PIN/Utility and control the implementation based on procedure.
• Well maintained OTS & keep in update related to any changes in DCS control system and collaborating with training coordinator for utilizing of OTS for training.

Planning and work process:

• Provide and submit reports for own’ s section and or requested by Management in timely manner.
• Contribute and support any projects related with PCC for design and construction of new or modified plant, facilities, and assets comply with safety standard and regulation, schedule and budget
• Plan & Support to Execute a Management of Change (MOC) request for temporary and permanent changes that could impact and improve safe, compliant, and reliable operating activity.
• Support operation organization structure changing by providing outline and technical training for operation team member as agreed schedule

Continuous Improvement

Identify defects in the plant, process, people and performance elements of the entity’s operating activity and implement improvements utilizing continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Key Challenges faced on the role

• Require good knowledge on engineering standard.
• Understanding the process and control philosophy that require not short time for getting good evaluation and improvement.

Other Relevant Information

Network with other functions, e.g., Maintenance, operation, IT&S, Global Process control and Global Technology.

Experience & Expertise

Educational background: bachelor's degree (S-1) preferably from Engineering majored in Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Chemical Engineering.

Experience (years and nature):

• Minimum 3 years of experience (S1) in process control maintenance and engineering.
• Have good knowledge with Yokogawa DCS & SIS System

Other

• Have good knowledge with DCS & OTS/dynamic simulation integration.
• Have good knowledge of alarm management.
• Skillful PC and programming.
