Office Coordinator / Lab Technician

Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing a variety of computer entry tasks including but not limited to: recording, reporting and editing feed and forage results, summarize data in excel, update customer account information, answer the telephone, assist customers over the front desk, various office duties, and assisting in the preparation of feed and forage samples for testing.
Essential Duties

• Perform regular schedule maintenance on equipment
• NIR Analysis
• Back up Feed Route Driver
• Prepare samples for testing
• Edit NIR results
• Assisting in other departments as needed
• Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining customer records
• Assist customers with questions
• Light cleaning duties as needed
• Prepare and send supplies to customers
• Log in samples
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
• Responsible for data entry
• Answer telephone
• Backup for supervisor
• Prepare UPS/USPS packages
• Summarize data in excel
• Pick up daily mail (samples) as needed
• Record and report feed and forage results

• Climb, stoop, kneel, stretch, crouch, or crawl
• Remain stationary for long periods of time in one spot
• Type proficiently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Education / Experience

• Previous experience in agricultural field (1-2 years), preferred
• Must have working experience with excel programs required
• Associates Degree (Agricultural/Science field or business related), preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous customer service experience (1-2 years), preferred

Licenses, Certifications, Authorizations Required

• Valid driver's license and good driving record

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must wear personal protective equipment
• Concentration in an open office "cubicle" environment
• Work is performed largely in a production style environment with high noise level (i.e. grinders, computers, telephones, printers and customers)
• There may be occasions when the work environment is stressful
• Will be exposed to feed, forage, dust, molds, strong odors, and allergens (i.e. peanuts) on a regular basis
