Nutanix Resident Engineer Jobs

We are looking for a Nutanix Expert to take on the role of Nutanix Resident Engineer to join our team. You will have the chance to work on interesting project using a recent technology and build your career and upskill.

Job Requirements & Qualification

• Experience with replication configuration (Master slave, Master-Master).
• Demonstrated ability to implement High Availability, Work Load Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery using Nutanix.
• Good understanding in database operations and infrastructure
• Linux swap limits, filesystem optimizations for MariaDB etc
• With 4-8 years of experience in Nutanix or at least similar role.
• Strong proficiency in MariaDB/ MySQL database management with recent versions.
• Hands-on experience in working in Linux Environment
• Good understanding on application framework and app architecture
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
• Should be well versed with activities like – setting up disk I/O scheduler, concepts of open file limits,
• Good to Have:
• Knowledge of limitations in MariaDB/MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases.
• Experience in Performance tuning.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Perform database administration tasks, including automation, performance monitoring and tuning, and query optimization.
• Tuning servers configurations as per the workload.
• Drive performance tuning, Query Tuning and monitoring the performance using tools.
• Should be aware of common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Create and Manage users with proper permissions.
• Prepare documentations and specifications.
