NIHI Sumba seeks a highly experienced, dedicated, and passionate Naturalist Leader. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a profound understanding of Indonesia's rich flora, fauna, and natural environments, specifically that of Sumba Island. If you have a love for the natural world and a desire to share that with our distinguished guests, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Develop, plan, and lead experiences, nature explorations, and interactive learning sessions for our guests.

Provide expert knowledge on Sumba Island's diverse flora, fauna, and natural ecosystems.

Participate in conservation activities, including species identification and monitoring.

Collaborate with the resort team to seamlessly integrate all experiences with our holistic eco-luxury approach.

Be a key part of our commitment to sustainable practices, contributing your expertise to preserving the local ecosystem.

Advocate for the environment and educate guests and staff on the importance of conservation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Zoology, Botany, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.

Deep knowledge and passion for the flora, fauna, and ecosystems of Sumba Island and broader Indonesia.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.

Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.

Demonstrated experience in environmental education and conservation.

Authorized to work in Indonesia.
