Mothercare is a highly empowered role for leading Kanmo groups largest fashion division for brand Mothercare which operates 50 + stores with pan indonesia presence, own website and app, and is present on leading marketplaces.
Key responsibilities:
- Ability to apply trend forecast and influence product POV during development process using both market information and Brand Filters
- Creating eye-catching store layouts that showcase the brand and aesthetic of the company
- Tracking inventory movement and systematically introducing promotions, sales, price changes, etc.
- Collaborating with the marketing department to brainstorm new projects, campaigns, and business ideas.
- Ensure the successful implementation of merchandising strategies by providing direction to principal, local suppliers and teams
- Establish the product vision and merchandising line plan for Mothercare Fashion Collaborate with key stakeholders;
- Work closely with GM and Group HR for periodic talent profiling/mapping conversations
- Business strategy Define and own the overall Business strategy for Mothercare Fashion omnichannel business – to achieve the planned growths aspirations across channels;
- Cascade the Business strategy into specific range planning, buying, Merchandising, markdown management and trading Work closely with the brand GM to prepare Long Term plans for the fashion business to deliver on Growth and Profitability targets
- Manage/collaborate on product selection templates, local and import vendor selection, KPI results and seasonal projection
- Influence and drive to consensus all short and long range merchandising strategies and objectives
- Establishing sound internal control procedures People Management Provide Leadership and Coaching to the direct team and their reports to drive enhanced performance, professional and personal development
- Work collaboratively with other support departments to deliver key sales, projects and new initiatives Governance & Control Ensure statutory compliances of all systems, processes & accounting practices & compliance with international corporate governance requirement
- Manage the performance of the team – set annual performance goals, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve performance
- Work with Creative Teams to identify seasonal brand messaging, product key items, and key looks
- Be present in key account meetings
- Partner with sourcing team with sample tracking, proto reviews, achieve margins and agree on product changes as necessary for locally manufactures products
- Ensure appropriate controls in place for buying, inventory, working capital utilization Implement a strong system for MIS, Accounting and Compliance for ensuring Operational Excellence
- P&L responsibility for Mothercare fashion– including Topline, Gross margin, Ensure working capital is maintained under planned levels – by ensuring appropriate inventory Show strong commercial prudence in day to day business decisions
- Enhance team productivity through skills development through coaching and training.
- Organization building Continue to strengthen organization by hiring proactively for necessary skills and bandwidth to support achievement of the planned Growth targets Engage deeply with direct reports and provide constructive feedback – to groom talent in-house (team of 7)
- Providing marketing and sales teams with product knowledge and serve as an informational resource
- Own the product development/selection calendar - directly responsible for managing team adherence to the critical deadlines of assigned area
- Preparing annual and quarterly budgets, and presenting them to the relevant stakeholders
- Thoroughly understands the brand's target customer by tracking attitude and lifestyle trends
- Bring customer and market prospective to the design and product development process
Requirements :
- Preference from fashion and kids retail background Prior experience in Merchandising and planning Ecommerce and digital understanding in B2C environment
- Minimum qualification Graduate, MBA would be a Plus
- Possesses analytical skills along with strategic mindset Process oriented with strong understanding of ms office , erp tools, systems
- Excellent communication with great interpersonal skills which would help candidate deliver on growth prospects working closely with stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Ideal candidate 10+ years of omnichannel retail experience with minimum 5 years in managerial position
