Manufacturing Process Engineer Jobs

In this position, you will be responsible for working in a group environment in coordinating and managing the transition of products/system launches using Casco’s APQP standard.

What are your essential duties and responsibilities?

• Writes and updates work instructions.
• Create & Update PFD and PFMEA & assist CP.
• Prepare interim and completion project reports.
• Handling of the completion of assigned product launch. Elevate issues and barriers.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
• Launch projects using Casco’s APQP process.
• Introduce new products to assigned customer facilities.
• Utilize the team deliverables to identify risk and develop plans to mitigate (DFMEA, PFMEA's, Prototype data, etc.)
• Control expenditures within limitations of project budget
• Supports Maintenance in machine repair and problem resolution as required.
• Act as assigned customer focal point and “First Response” contact.
• Handles engineering projects from both the administrative and technical sides. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of the project and the budget
• Develop and execute implementation and training plans based on APQP process.
• Develop and review launch plans with respect to labor, floor space, workflow, and layout with the engineering and operation teams.
• Provide direct management support in leading launch teams.
• Weekly/monthly new product introduction review participation
• Maintain and keep working area to meet environmental requirements and regulation compliance.
• Develop, specify, and review vendor specifications and equipment purchase plans with process engineers and launch teams.
• Design, maintain and improve process in manufacturing systems.
• Provide technical support to management and engineering during analysis and planning activities.
• Define lay out and set up production lines, develop fixtures with external suppliers, and optimize lines.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Strong analytical and hands-on skills
• Strong knowledge of circuit and PCB design to meet EMC requirements.
• Strong knowledge in mechanical, electrical and electromechanical materials and components.
• Has 3-5 years in an Automotive or manufacturing environment and similar industry
• Good troubleshooter and problem solver
• Problem solving experience.
• Proficient with circuit simulation tools
• Customer relation experience
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering (ME, EE, etc.)
