Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Supervisor who is fluent in Mandarin to join our dynamic HR team. The HR Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing various human resources functions, with a focus on effectively communicating and supporting our Mandarin-speaking employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English, and a deep understanding of cultural nuances to ensure effective employee engagement and support.


Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to Mandarin-speaking employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and any employment-related inquiries.
  2. Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with the HR team to assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing Mandarin-speaking candidates, conducting orientations, and ensuring smooth onboarding experiences.
  3. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting effective communication among all employees, regardless of language.
  4. Performance Management: Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans for Mandarin-speaking team members.
  5. Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for Mandarin-speaking employees, coordinating with the Learning and Development team to ensure their professional growth.
  6. Compliance: Stay updated on labor laws and regulations, both domestically and internationally, that affect Mandarin-speaking employees. Ensure HR practices are in compliance with these regulations.
  7. Cross-Cultural Communication: Serve as a bridge between Mandarin-speaking employees and English-speaking colleagues, facilitating effective communication and understanding of cultural differences.
  8. Benefits Administration: Assist in administering employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring Mandarin-speaking employees receive the necessary information and support.
  9. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and key performance indicators related to Mandarin-speaking employees for management review.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  3. Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  4. Strong understanding of cultural nuances and differences, particularly those relevant to Mandarin-speaking employees.
  5. Thorough knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
  7. Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address employee concerns effectively.
  8. Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office.
  9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
