www.aprilasia.com is looking for qualified Finance Controller to oversee financial accounting, reporting and internal control information to support meeting and/or exceeding established operational goals.

Purpose

As the role responsible for reviewing all finance and accounting operations, it is critical that a Financial Controller captures the breadth, diversity and seniority of the role.

This position will handle accounting management record & evaluation, managing risk, ensuring the compliance with regulation, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting, revenue, and managing all the activities related to budget controller of a specific business unit.

Essential Functions:

1. Act as financial business partner to the management to assure understanding/communication of the financial impact of plant or fiber operations. Finance Controller should develop financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
2. Provide timely and accurate analysis on actual monthly plant performance, internal financial reports and company scorecards ; provide high level financial review and analysis, also providing investment advice
3. Controlling budget plan VS budget actual; prepare plant forecasts and the annual budget in line with corporate targets and expectations.
4. Identify cost savings, productivity and other opportunities and propose solutions.
5. Review of business process to analyze internal control effectiveness and trace variance for any deficiencies. If required, recommend change in the planned forecast due to uncontrollable factors.
6. Stakeholder management.
7. Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
8. Manage the month end closing process, ensuring accurate reporting of inventory balances and cost performance.
9. Provide communication on departmental expectations, motivate team members, and identify opportunities for improvements.
10. Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Management and make recommendations on both strategy and operations to strategically enhance financial performance business decisions and opportunities.
11. Ensure internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial, statutory, audit and tax reporting / requirements.
12. Any other ad-hoc function assigned by the Management.

Job Requirement:

1. Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, CPA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent
2. Proven experience in finance management and good knowledge of fundamental accounting. Having experience in Big 4 will be an advantage.
3. Overall work experience minimum 8 years with at least few years in manufacturing company
4. Handled yearly turnover in excess of 50m USD
5. Familiar with SAP
6. Fluent in English, both oral & written.
7. Willing to be placed in Pangakalan Kerinci – Riau – Sumatra ; open to move to other national or international roles
