Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance professional to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Reporting to the regional finance manager based in Malaysia, the role is crucial for ensuring compliance, accurate and timely financial reporting, efficient processes, and supporting decision-making. Success requires strong leadership, financial expertise, good communication skills and adherence to local regulations.



Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance team.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and government authorities as necessary.
  • Monitor AR ageing and take appropriate actions to resolve outstanding invoices and disputes.
  • Prepare management accounts and conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Monitor changes in local financial regulations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Coordinate and liaise with auditors during the annual financial audit process.
  • Implement and maintain robust AR and AP processes to optimise cash flow and minimise bad debt.
  • Work closely with the sales team to improve customer payment terms and collections.
  • Implement improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial reporting.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team's productivity and professional growth.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and banks.
  • Lead and develop a team of two finance associates, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local financial regulations and tax laws.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. English is a must to work with regional teams
  • Proficiency in financial management software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
