Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our engineering department and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.


Responsibilities


  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for skill development and growth.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their full potential. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, open communication, and continuous learning.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, set clear objectives, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the technologies and processes employed within the engineering department. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive problem-solving.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource utilization.
  • Quality Assurance: Champion a culture of quality within the team, enforcing best practices and conducting thorough quality assurance checks to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.


Requirements


  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, including the ability to mentor, inspire, and empower team members.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and methodologies. Familiarity with software development with Go language.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a track record of making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience: Proven track record of at least 5 years in engineering or software development, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
