Electric Transport Specialist Jobs

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.
Key Responsibilities

• Suggest a plan for scaling up, including infrastructure upgrades at different locations, including in the electricity grid
• Reviewing existing land-based and marine transport systems and costs in the context of Pohnpei state as well as lagoon and outer islands in Chuuk and Pohnpei
• Recommend appropriate technologies and develop proposals for pilot implementation
• Develop cost estimates and carry out an economic cost-benefit analysis
• Review available technologies for clean transport and available facilities for their deployment

Qualifications To Be Successful In The Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or closely related fields)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
• Minimum of five years of experience in the design and implementation of electric transport projects.
• Practical experience particularly related to country assessments, review of grid infrastructure, charging stations, and introduction of electric vehicles in developing countries (including the Pacific) is preferred
