About The Role
They say no man is an island, and this notion holds particularly true for this role. As our market researcher, you’ll be an instrumental cog in the OneTransport Research at Gojek that directly impacts the company’s direction and decision on strategies, products to build, and what to do to grow our business. Your main objectives will be to plan and execute research projects and present them to stakeholders. Your manager will work with you to develop your skills and knowledge and to ensure the quality of the research. Marketing and Strategy teams will be your main companion during this ride. Best yet, you’ll have the opportunity to flex your quantitative, and qualitative research skills, getting us even closer as a thinking partner and navigator for our stakeholders.
What You Will Do
  • Collect and analyze data using a variety of research methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data exploration with medium-low supervision
  • Do market research projects for transport products: market sizing, concept testing, advertisement check, market analysis, brand health tracking, etc
  • Collaborating with diverse stakeholders and effectively communicating research findings to non-technical teams.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in presentations, reports, and meetings
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and understand their research questions by attending/initiating meetings that are related to your stakeholders
  • Build research plan (including ensuring objectives, determining sample design, frameworks, timeline, and what method to use) with medium-low supervision from the manager
What You Will Need
  • Should have at least 2 years of experience as market research in an agency or in-house researcher
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (with a strong ability to speak, read and write).
  • Proven experience in market research, consumer insights, or related roles
  • Have experience in quantitative research, open to do and learn Qualitative studies, and have a good understanding of the Indonesian and South East Asia (SEA) market and culture
  • Have experience in projects with strategic focus like segmentation, usage & attitude, brand health tracking, and complex product launch is an advantage
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and the aptitude to pick up new skills quickly
  • Experience in tech industries or market segments relevant to our organization is desirable
  • Proven effective project management skill, communication skill, and strategic thinking capability with an orientation to detail
About The Team
Our OneTransport Research team, a subsidiary of the Research and Insights team, consists of 16 researchers. We are also responsible for research projects related to transport and logistics products in Indonesia,Vietnam and Singapore. We will work alongside the Marketing, Product, Strategic and Planning team, we are predominantly concerned with our customers' needs, including their perceptions on our product and what problems that they face daily that we can help. For instance, should you have a question about what we should do to help people’s mobility, we are your people! Currently, our team has been busy working on seeing deeper on future transportation needs, which will help Gojek in shaping strategy and prioritizing the next steps.
We are a tight-knit group made up of various people with different backgrounds. We like to share our passion outside of work such as cooking, sport, movies, music and games. We have 2 time slots in a week for us to share anything (can be work or passion related or whatever we want) so people can learn from one and another. Sometimes we even play games together. We work hard and play hard, and believe it or not, we actually enjoy each other’s company!
