Economist & Fixed Income Analyst

Overview Of s And Responsibilities:

• Developing a presentation set of macro and market analysis and to update it on regular basis
• Conduct daily and annual market analysis and outlook for the Indo bond market as the main focus.
• To keep update with the current monetary and fiscal policy and to analyze the impact to the market
• Understanding various investment strategies/mandates/objectives for each of portfolios and to take over quarterly client report from portfolio managers.
• To develop model portfolio and strategies for potential clients and providing fund analysis upon client’s request.
• To analyze the characteristics of the local rates market, the anatomy of local bond markets, bond ownerships, market participants, auctions, and the flow trend in the markets.
• Comfortable with technology and ability to integrate new developments into work processes.
• To establish database and modelling of Indonesian macro economy and applying the model output to analyze and generate investment ideas regularly.

Additional Roles:

• The role will also interact with other department, such as FI, IB, and dealers.
• The analyst will also be encouraged to explore additional information by attending various meetings with regulators, policy makers, economists, to broaden his/her understanding of the macro environment.

Essential Skills And Basic Qualifications:

• Eager learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A good understanding of Indonesian capital market regulations and the legal framework for loan and debt.
• Bachelor degree in economics, business, statistics, mathematics, finance or relevant related fields; CFA or advanced degrees.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented multi-location environment.
• Excellent analytical and reasoning ability.
• Personal experience of investing in multi-asset class and using Bloomberg will be a plus.
• Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience as Investment Analyst/Fixed income analyst, preferably with exposures in Indonesia macro portfolio management, or Bonds/ fixed income/ FX strategist.
• Strong capability in spreadsheet modelling.
• Keen interest in global markets.
• Good communication skill to liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
• Holding an active licence of WPPE/WMI will be an advantage.
• Solid understanding of fixed income instruments and portfolio construction process.
