Design Engineer Supervisor: Frame/Chassis Part

This role will directly report to the Design Engineer Manager in Research & Development (R&D) Department and will manage several junior design engineers.

Requirement:

• Experienced in using CAD (Solidworks or other technical drawing software) at an intermediate level and able to create a part and modify the 2D and 3D design
• Used to work in a fast-paced and agile working environment
• Self-starter, able to work with a minimum supervision
• Having knowledge in metal press part, welding process and standard, and many kinds of metal part process
• Min. 4-5 years of experience in automotive exterior design, especially chassis/frame parts
• Min. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Physics from a reputable university
• Passionate to create a breakthrough that may get into the hand of thousands of EV users
• Advanced technical drawing skills for 2D and 3D
• Possess leadership skills
• Having a general experience in R&D design and product engineering in the automotive industry
• Good communication skills to any level for both internal and external parties
• Having a good understanding of chassis parts for 2W will be a plus (such as frame making process, front fork development, swing arm, shock absorber, wheel, tire, and brake system)

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering tasks as required and communicate all engineering issues according to the part responsibility
• Involve in various component system level tests to ensure locally developed parts meet the required engineering standards
• Involve in cost reduction analysis and execution
• Lead the technical reviews with the potential supplier to support the supplier selection
• Create and develop 2D and 3D technical drawings for chassis/frame parts
• Lead junior design engineers to deliver the project in R&D Dept.
