Get to know the Team

The Aceh city team is a young team responsible for running Grab business and operations in the cities within the region. We make an impact by driving to all business units of GrabCar, GrabBike, Grab express, GrabKios, GrabFood, and GrabMart Business operations. We are responsible for developing and driving the right strategy to win the market and shape the ideal supply demand equilibrium while building a sustainable business model. City Operations Team is fully responsible for all city budget and target by collaborating with other internal stakeholders from various functions. The team needs to be able to create quick wins and long-term strategy to accelerate growth by executing the strategy in a timely manner.

Get to know the Role

We are looking for City Lead Aceh to lead the business operations and represent Grab in Aceh. We believe a successful candidate has several key skills such as: leadership, problem solving, data analysis, structured thinking and project management. Fully responsible for managing internal teams and external parties such as partners, local governance, local business, etc. Managing the city will need leadership skills to manage the operational in the city. You will also be growing Grab the and maintain the customer satisfactions both from drivers side and passengers side in your area.

The Day-to-Day Activities

• This role is based in Banda Aceh
• Responsible to lead the overall Grab business and operations in Aceh, driving hyperlocal strategy, collaborating initiatives with external and internal stakeholders to grow business
• You will lead the analytical and conceptual problem-solving initiatives with the agility to shift directions as quickly as needed
• You will need to do all internal and external stakeholder management
• You will need to maintain operational standards in your city
• You will maintain our level of service quality to a set of our standards
• You will need to be able to extract insights from data, trends, surveys, and market intelligence
• Responsible for identifying, comprehending, and synthesizing internal and industry data, creating hypotheses of trends, and assessing business risk
• You will be in charge of growth and achieving numbers
• Responsible for managing the team, setting priorities, and goals to achieve regional and company's objectives
• Accountable to understand the market and competition dynamics, agile in facing the competitive landscape and driving a viable business
• You are responsible to own the P&L for both the topline and bottom line of the business, ensuring the business is running in sustainable growth
• You will report to Northern Sumatra Region Lead
• You are expected to manage cost-effectiveness/ efficiency and deliver operational and financial targets within the designated financial cost and track spending in a timely manner

The Must-Haves

• Passionate about the social mission and making a positive impact in emerging markets
• Bachelors/Master's degree, preferably in management, analytics, business or engineering, or any relevant experiences.
• Exposure and knowledge to business process management, identifying, assessing, and controlling risk, and successful initiatives execution
• Exposure in leading teams and the ability to connect with people across teams/functions
• Good in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills
• You have Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility
• Self-starter and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to be placed in Aceh
• Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant work as city manager, sales, operations, business analyst or management consultant, or any relevant experiences
• Strong exposure to business analytics with experience in using tools like tableau, powerBI, excel, and other similar tools for data analysis and able to make key business decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data & analytical thinking
• Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills, ability to adjust and guide discussions at multiple management levels

The Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure and with SQL and Python
• Exposure and experience with creating dashboards of tableau, powerBI, etc
