Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong status of Finance and establish the CFO role as a natural second in command and co-driver of the business.
• Be a strong business partner supporting the Regional President across functions and markets, ensuring finance is directly involved in all decisions with significant financial impact incl. tenders, investments and ensure such are made on a sound basis.
• The role holder is expected to improve the transparency for regional business, enabling them to steer and develop towards targets through a number driven and fact-based approach. The role holder must in this regard act as a true business partner, by being proactive, identifying opportunities and highlighting challenges in the business in order to take the necessary steps to correct them.
• The role holder will need to have a strong focus and flair for controls and compliance in geographies that have an external environment requiring this.
• Be the first line of defense on controllership for the region leveraging shared services and centers of excellence to ensure adequate controls and reporting (statutory and management).
• Founded in strong functional expertise, the CFO provides guidance and support to the business while challenging business assumptions based on a fact-based and data-driven approach combined with excellent commercial acumen.
• Drive growth, margin expansion, and cash conversion.
• The role holder is to act as best-in-class business partner to Board Director with a solid reporting line and the CEO with a dotted reporting line. Founded in strong functional expertise, the CFO provides guidance and support to the business while challenging business assumptions and implementation plans based on a fact-based and data-driven approach combined with excellent commercial acumen.
• Support the implementation of the Finance Transformation, ensuring that the basic system and process landscape is fixed, and a best-in-class Finance function is developed.
• Lead, build, and develop the organization from a people, organization, processes and systems perspective. Partner with senior management to manage ad-hoc projects that require significant analytics, global alignment, and/or change management.
• Support the M&A agenda for the regional through due diligence and integration activities.

What you bring:

• Stakeholder Management:Experienced in developing trusted relationships and influencing senior cross-functional and business stakeholders during a period of transformation.
• FP&A / Commercial Finance:Experience from a sophisticated FP&A environment to drive best-in-class commercial analysis and forecasting. Support transparency of the business and ensure informed and number driven decision-making. Define KPI’s and run regular performance reviews.
• Finance Athlete:Relevant experience in building and leading finance capabilities in global organizations with solid technical finance background.
• Logistics and Services:Experience from a Logistics and Services focused and/or integrated transportation and logistics service company with in-depth knowledge of the intrinsic of running a profitable business in this industry.
• M&A:Experience with due diligence and integration activities from a strategic perspective and the ability to act as a strategic partner on M&A decisions to the Regional President
• Leadership:Change management experience with a proven history of successfully building effective and high performing finance teams in a global setup. Culturally diverse leadership style, ideally gained through experience from having lived and worked abroad.
• CAPEX:Experience with capex investment proposals and implementations
• Business Partner:Good understanding of key drivers in the business, strong business judgment, and ability to act as a commercial partner to the Regional President and the business in general.
