Job Description

Incredible opportunity has just come available for a Chef to join our crew for international delivery Batam to Australia of our Newcastle Baycommencing 03/0/23!


This vessel is set to be a game changer for Sea Swift, the largest shipping company in Northern Australia. Having successfully completed sea trials in Batam, it is nearly time for the Newcastle Bay to return to Cairns. If you are an experienced vessel chef, we would love to have you aboard the Newcastle Bay to help the crew bring her home.


  • Commencing 03/09 (Approx 2-3 weeks work)

The role will require you to finalise the Galley setup and includes a handover from the Marine Cook in Batam who is currently cooking for the delivery crew. There will be up to 13 crew aboard the Newcastle Bay for her maiden voyage from Indonesia to Cairns, Australia.


Qualifications Required

  • AMSA Medical
  • Minimum Qualification is Marine Cook.This is a CoC issued by AMSA
  • Passport with 6 months validity


There is potential for this position to transition into full-time permanent opportunity on this vessel (4 weeks on/off) following a performance review.
